MAC115A Indramat AC servo motor

MAC115A is the A-length package within the MAC115 legacy analog ac servo motor range. The model prefix fixes the 115 frame and A motor length, but the winding, cooling, feedback, centering, shaft, connector and brake fields still determine the complete replacement.

The planning manual’s HS winding code row documents 28 Nm continuous torque at standstill and 32.5 A continuous current at a nominal 2,000 rpm winding. Those values describe that published operating row—not every complete MAC115A part number.

MAC115A overview

MAC115A is the A-length MAC115 servo motor. Baseline dimension A is 357 mm. The complete suffix determines winding, cooling, feedback, shaft and brake choices.

Continuous ratings use the manual’s 60 K housing-temperature-rise basis. Published motor mass excludes the holding brake and external cooling hardware.

Shaft & flange

32 mm output shaft

Plain shaft and Keyed shaft are documented at series level. Match the flange drawing, shaft seal and hub connection before installation.

04

Centering diameter

130 mm standard · 180 mm special

The centering choice is encoded in the complete part number and must match the machine flange or adapter.

05

Available speeds

2,000 rpm · 3,000 rpm

These are published nominal-speed choices for this model. The winding code and selected drive determine the actual configuration.

Feedback, shaft and brake choices

Configuration choices

Cooling, feedback and holding brake

Cooling

Manage continuous load and machine clearance

  • Natural convection
  • Axial blower
  • Radial blower

External or surface-cooling arrangements can change the installed envelope and are not interchangeable from the model name alone.

Feedback

Keep the drive’s position and speed signal compatible

  • Tachometer feedback
  • Tachometer feedback with second shaft end
  • Mounted incremental or absolute encoder options

Photograph the feedback connector and every suffix after the core model.

Holding brake

Match the installed holding requirement

  • Without holding brake
  • 45 Nm holding brake
  • 60 Nm holding brake

A blocking or holding brake is not a dynamic service brake. Check the published exclusion notes for the exact motor length.
