About ADF
ADF motors are configuration-sensitive machine-tool motors designed around a liquid-cooling circuit. Record the full type plate, cooling connections, motor feedback, mounting orientation, output shaft and connected drive before Litco compares inventory or evaluates the installed unit for repair.
What to check before replacement or repair
The motor and its connected drive must be considered together. Similar housings can carry different windings, feedback devices, shafts, brakes and connector directions.
- Complete type code, frame and motor-length letter
- Winding or nominal-speed designation
- Feedback, cooling, connector and holding-brake options
- Flange, centering diameter, shaft and machine-axis details
For a failed motor, include the axis symptoms, shaft condition and any contamination or overheating evidence. That helps Litco compare a repair evaluation with a configured replacement.
