MAC071B Indramat AC servo motor

MAC071B is the B-length package within the MAC071 legacy analog ac servo motor range. The model prefix fixes the 071 frame and B motor length, but the winding, cooling, feedback, centering, shaft, connector and brake fields still determine the complete replacement.

The planning manual’s FS winding code row documents 4.4 Nm continuous torque at standstill and 5 A continuous current at a nominal 2,000 rpm winding. Those values describe that published operating row—not every complete MAC071B part number.

Continuous ratings use the manual’s 60 K housing-temperature-rise basis. Published motor mass excludes the holding brake and external cooling hardware.

Feedback, shaft and brake choices

Configuration choices

Cooling, feedback and holding brake

Cooling

Manage continuous load and machine clearance

  • Natural convection
  • Axial blower
  • Radial blower

External or surface-cooling arrangements can change the installed envelope and are not interchangeable from the model name alone.

Feedback

Keep the drive’s position and speed signal compatible

  • Tachometer feedback
  • Second shaft end or mounted encoder options by type code

Photograph the feedback connector and every suffix after the core model.

Holding brake

Match the installed holding requirement

  • Without holding brake
  • 3 Nm holding brake
  • 6.5 Nm holding brake

A blocking or holding brake is not a dynamic service brake. Check the published exclusion notes for the exact motor length.
