A drive housing is only the starting point. Plug-in modules, firmware, feedback electronics and the connected motor can make visually similar controllers incompatible.

- Installed command, communication and feedback modules
- Firmware, software and parameter labels
- Connected motor, supply module, cabinet cooling and fault history
Preserve the firmware label, parameter backup and installed module stack before removing the drive. Include the fault code and what the machine was doing when the failure appeared.
