DDS drives are modular and configuration-sensitive. The base current class, cooling code, plug-in cards, firmware and historical build markings should all be photographed before a replacement is selected.
A drive housing is only the starting point. Plug-in modules, firmware, feedback electronics and the connected motor can make visually similar controllers incompatible.
Preserve the firmware label, parameter backup and installed module stack before removing the drive. Include the fault code and what the machine was doing when the failure appeared.
