HVE / HVR second-generation supplies fault codes & diagnostics

Ready for power on

Supply and drive status indicates readiness; this is an operating state, not an instruction to energize the machine.

Power OK

The source describes the mains contactor as on and the DC bus voltage within its permitted range.

External component warning

An additional component is reporting a warning. The source specifies power-off after 30 seconds.

Control voltage temperature warning

HVR only: the control-voltage supply is overloaded and its temperature pre-warning contact has opened.

Soft-start fault

The DC bus cannot be loaded.

Power off with bus shorting

Power is off and the DC bus dynamic brake is active.

Heatsink overtemperature fault

Power is off because heatsink or power-section temperature is too high.

Bleeder overload

Rotary-drive energy (HVE/HVR), or regenerated power (HVE), is too high.

Drive fault

The supply has switched power off in response to a drive error.

External component error

An additional component, such as the bleeder loading device, is reporting a fault.

Regenerative power overload

Continuous regenerated drive power is excessive.

Bus power overload

Continuous drive feed-in power is excessive.

Heatsink temperature warning

The temperature pre-warning contact is open; the source specifies power-off after a further 5 °C rise.

Bleeder overload warning

Excessive regenerated power has reached 80% of the allowable bleeder on-time.

Overcurrent

HVR only: the source lists a possible short circuit in the supply, drive, motor or cable.

+24 V / ±15 V / +5 V fault

The control voltages are faulty.

Short to ground

The source identifies a ground fault in the supply, drive, motor or cable.

Power failure

HVR only: one or more mains phases are missing.

Phase-loss fault

HVE only: one or more mains phases are missing, or mains voltage is too low.

Line voltage fault

Mains voltage is outside the permitted tolerance.

Miswiring

HVR only: the source describes a phase mismatch between power and control-voltage connections; the line contactor does not pick up.

Line frequency fault

HVR only: mains frequency is outside the permitted tolerance.

Control voltage supply failure

HVE only: control-voltage supply is outside the permitted tolerance.

Checksum error

HVR only: the source identifies a hardware or software error in the unit.

Device failure

The source identifies a hardware or software error in the unit.

+5 V failure

HVE only: failure of the +5 V control voltage.
